Verilink Multi Protocol Platform (MPP)


Verilink's Multi Protocol Platform (MPP) is designed for high density installations requiring frame relay access. The MPP series supports asynchronous applications, switching and branch office routing of TCP/IP and is SNMP managed.

6400 Chassis
 Verilink's 6400 Chassis is typically used in the regional or central-site locations to consolidate a large number of remote connections. A redundant power supply is optional in the 6400 chassis. A serial interface is included for configuration via PC.

9000 MPP Card
The 9000 MPP is a LAN and serial data connectivity device and is used in the 6400 chassis. It also can be used for Frame Relay switching. The base unit is equipped with four software selectable RS-232/V.35 serial interfaces.

9111 MPP
The 9111 MPP is a LAN and serial data connectivity device. The base unit is equiped with a 56/64K or T1/FT1 CSU/DSU for direct WAN connections and two RS-232 DCE serial interfaces. 10 Base-T Ethernet LAN is available.

9211 MPP
The 9211 MPP is a LAN and serial data connectivity device. It also can be used for Frame Relay switching. The base unit is equipped with four software selectable RS-232/V.35 serial interfaces. The interfaces can also be switched via software for DCE/DTE.

MPP Management Software

VCP - Verilink Configuration Program. PC-based software used for configuring both local and remote Verilink MPP products in the customer network from any data port. ANSI-Graphics structure allows either DOS or Windows operation. Requires a 386 IBM-computer. (No - Charge)

bulletNetwork management and control systems software. Same operating platform as the VCP software offering, but also allows gathering of statistics along with a built-in data port monitor for any unit in the customer’s network, local and remote.
