Visual PAM (Performance Archive Manager)

Client / Server Applications

The client / server version of the software is sold as the Visual PAM (Performance Archive Manager) and Visual PAC (Platform Applicable Client). The PAMs are structured according to the number of ASEs being supported. Each PAM also includes one master copy of each type of PAC. The user is entitled to make an unlimited number of PAC copies and connect up to five PACs concurrently to the PAM. Licenses to increase the amount of PAC concurrency are also available.

Each PAM also includes the Pentium based hardware that the PAM software runs on. The hardware platform which the PACs run on are not provided by Visual. Integration of the PAM software and its hardware platform is done at the factory prior to customer shipment. This complete package is an effortless solution for getting Visual UpTime up and running on your network. The platform also includes advanced remote access capabilities to allow Visual’s industry experts to remotely examine network performance and offer valuable consultation to your specific network issues.

The total PAM package includes:

    1. Integration and testing of hardware platform* (Pentium PC, MS Windows NT, MS SQL Server), networking (Ethernet or Token Ring NIC, TCP/IP stack), remote access (modem, PC/Anywhere), and Visual UpTime PAM software.
    2. Master copies of Visual UpTime PAC software for Windows NT/Windows 98, HP/UX, Sun Solaris, and IBM AIX.
    3. A license to connect up to five PACs concurrently to the PAM.
    4. Pre-installation coordination including telephone support and documentation.
