Connects T1 subscribers to digital networks or between campus buildings

4 Mbps HDSL-based Data Modem
HDSL-based modem, enabling symmetrical data transmission at a rate of 4 Mbps over existing copper cables
Synchronous full duplex operation over existing 4-wire cables at distances of up to 3.0 km (1.9 miles)
Complies with ETSI HDSL standards
Supports embedded channel for control and diagnostics of both central and remote units
Setup, control and monitoring using front-panel LCD or ASCII terminal
Alarm relay port for activation of external alarm devices upon alarm events

HDSL E1 Access Unit
Standalone HDSL NTU/LTU converting n ( 56, n ( 64 or full E1 data rates to HDSL transmission format
Range of up to 9.2 km (5.7 miles) with H-RPT repeater or up to 4.8 km (3 miles) without H-RPT repeater
Available with 4-wire or 2-wire line interface
Operates opposite RAD's HTU-E1, HTU-2, HDSL modules of the DXC and Megaplex families, and H-RPT (4-wire HCD-E1 only)
Complies with the ETSI HDSL standards
Supports priority bumping (4-wire HCD-E1 only)
Up to two data ports with the following interfaces: V.35, RS-530, V.36/RS-449, X.21, Ethernet (IR-ETH, IR-ETH/Q or IR-IP)
Optional E1 drop & insert sublink for PBX connectivity
E1 sublink interface complies with ITU G.703, G.704, G.706, G.723 and G.823
Control of the remote unit via embedded operation channel or inband management
