The Centillion™ 1000 family of high-capacity multiservice ATM switches from
Nortel Networks delivers a uniquely robust and powerful switching solution to
enterprise networking environments.
Available in three different models, the Centillion 1000 multiservice ATM
switches use a common set of interface modules to deliver high-bandwidth support
for voice, video, and data applications throughout the enterprise and across the
wide area network.
 | Centillion 1600 is designed for deployment in the network centers of large
ATM networks. This 16-slot multiservice switch is unique in its ability to
provide total switch fabric, processor, and power supply redundancy, and is
ideal for installations where total availability of integrated voice, video,
and data services is a necessity. The Centillion 1600 delivers overall
switching capacity of 10 Gbps and full ATM wide area network (WAN)
connectivity.
| Centillion 1400 supports environments that do not yet require the capacity
of the Centillion 1600. This 8-slot multiservice switch is also appropriate
for large campuses requiring ATM building concentration, and provides total
switch fabric, processor, and power supply redundancy. The switch delivers
overall switching capacity of 5 Gbps, includes full support for integrated
voice, video, and data services, and provides full ATM wide area
connectivity.
| Centillion 1200 supports power workgroups and/or branch office
connectivity to the enterprise network. The 4-slot switch delivers overall
switching capacity of 2.5 Gbps, and also provides power supply redundancy
and full ATM WAN connectivity. |
