Digital Cross Connect

A Digital Cross Connect or Digital Access and Cross-connect System is equipment that allows control of individual DS0 s in a DS1 data stream. This unit allows an individual DS0 to be mapped from one DS1 to a specific DS0 position on another DS1.

The Digital Cross Connect are used extensively by the Telcos but are also used by businesses for grooming T1s that come from various corporate sites.

By using a Digital Cross Connect or DACS a corporation can for example consolidate or groom multiple fractional T1s in to full T1s for connection to their CPE equipment. This reduces the number of T1 ports required on their CPE equipment.

A Telco uses the Digital Cross Connect or DACS to groom T1s or Fractional T1s. Frequently they then groom these T1s into a T3 for transport.

The Digital Access and Cross-connect System, DACS, comes in various sizes depending upon the requirements of the application.  We can assist you in selecting the unit that is right for your application.

The RAD DXC family is a Digital Access and Cross-connect System or DACS which is perfect for smaller or mid-sized applications.

The ADTRAN Atlas product is a Digital Access and Cross-connect System or DACS for larger applications.

Where the highest capacity Digital Cross Connect is required, the Eastern Research DNX-11 or DXC-100 are  frequently the products of choice.

We can assist you in selecting the Digital Cross Connect or DACS that is right for your application and provide you excellent pricing.
